The Conversations You’re Avoiding
Don’t have to Break Your Family
Most people think talking about death and aging will tear their family apart.
And they’re not wrong.
When a crisis hits, families are forced into high-stakes conversations – with big personalities, old resentments, and intense emotions. Too often, it ends in arguments, avoidance, or “we’ll deal with this later".
I’m not a lawyer or financial planner. I guide the human side: the tough talks, the emotions, the truths that matter most.
If you’re ready to stop avoiding and start preparing — I’m here to guide you.
Hi, I’m Mel Raoul.
I guide individuals and families through the toughest conversations about aging, death, and legacy — so they can protect their relationships, not just their estates.
I’ve seen how families can fracture when these conversations are delayed. A crisis hits, and suddenly confusion, resentment, and conflict take hold.
As someone navigating these same conversations with my own parents and siblings, I vowed to do things differently. And as a daughter and parent balancing work, caregiving, and the many moving parts of life, I know how hard it can be to even begin.
After 20 years as an Executive Coach and Organizational Development Specialist, guiding leaders and teams through conflict, tough conversations, and high-stakes decisions, I now bring that expertise to families. Because when it comes to aging, death, and legacy — the cost of avoidance is simply too high.
My approach is:
Grounded enough to keep things steady
Direct enough to move past avoidance
Compassionate enough to say what needs to be said
Together, we’ll:
Reduce conflict before it erupts
Strengthen relationships instead of fracturing them
Create clarity and peace of mind about what matters most
